Definition of Play Therapy:
“The systematic use of a theoretical model to establish an interpersonal process wherein trained play therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development.”
The Arkansas Association for Play Therapy is a state branch of the Association of Play Therapy. The APT is an international organization whose mission is to advance the psychosocial development and mental health of individuals through play and play therapy.
