Lisa is a Licensed Certified Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist (RPT™), and an Internationally Credentialed Sandtray Therapist (ICST). She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2004 and her Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2005.
Lisa has extensive experience providing therapy in residential, outpatient, and school-based settings, with a focus on children, adolescents, and families. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and CPP (Child-Parent Psychotherapy), allowing her to offer a range of approaches tailored to her clients’ needs.
Lisa currently works in private practice at Create Healing Counseling, where she specializes in trauma-informed, play-based, and expressive therapies. She also serves as the Clinical Coordinator for Treatment Homes, Inc., supporting trauma-focused services for children and families in therapeutic foster care. In addition, she supervises social work interns pursuing clinical licensure, mentoring and developing the next generation of mental health professionals.
In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and their animals. She loves exploring estate sales, gardening, and finding beauty in everyday moments.
