Content Description
Join Andrea Mann for an introduction to Adlerian Play Therapy. This webinar provides an overview of the foundational principles and philosophy of Adlerian Play Therapy and introduces participants to the four phases of treatment and the therapist's role throughout the therapeutic process. Participants will explore how encouragement, relationship-building, and lifestyle assessment guide treatment and help children develop healthier beliefs, behaviors, and relationships. Instructional methods include lecture, case examples, and reflective discussion to provide participants with a foundational understanding of this evidence-informed play therapy approach.
Behavioral Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to: Identify at least three foundational concepts of Adlerian Play Therapy and describe how they influence play therapy treatment with children. Describe the four phases of Adlerian Play Therapy and the role of the therapist within each phase of treatment. Demonstrate understanding of how Adlerian Play Therapy conceptualizes children's behavior through the use of encouragement, relationship-building, and lifestyle assessment strategies.

Known for her warmth and clarity, she integrates expressive and somatic modalities with Adlerian theory and presents locally, statewide, and nationally on play therapy, child and adolescent mental health, and practical, phase-specific interventions to empower clinicians and clients.
